Activate your license key

Buy Pro or Studio, copy the license key from the checkout page or our email, and paste it in the app to unlock your plan.

Pro and Studio are unlocked with a license key. It starts with ARH and works both in the Mac app and for the MCP server.

Buy a plan

  1. Go to the pricing page, choose Monthly or Yearly, and click the button of Pro or Studio. You can also click Upgrade in the app, which offers Pro and Studio, monthly or yearly.
  2. Pay on the Polar checkout page. Polar is our Merchant of Record and handles the payment and taxes.
  3. After paying, your license key appears on the page you return to, with a Copy button. It starts with ARH.
  4. We also email the key to the address you paid with, from hello@apprankhero.com, with the subject "Your App Rank Hero Pro license key" (or Studio).

Polar does not email the key itself. Besides our email, the key is always in the Polar customer portal.

Activate it in the app

  1. Open the upgrade dialog in AppRankHero:
    • On the Free plan, click the Upgrade card at the bottom of the sidebar.
    • Or click Account in the sidebar and then Upgrade.
  2. Under Have a license key?, paste your key into the field.
  3. Click Activate.

The Account page now shows your plan, PRO or STUDIO, and the higher limits apply right away. (Version 1.0.2 showed PRO for both plans, with the right limits; update to 1.0.3 to see STUDIO.)

Use the same key for AI tools

Your license key also signs AI tools in to the MCP server. See Connect ChatGPT, Claude and other AI tools.

Questions and answers

I cannot find the email with my key.

Search your inbox and spam folder for "App Rank Hero" or "license key". The email comes from hello@apprankhero.com a few seconds after the payment. Polar sends only the receipt, not the key. You can always open the Polar customer portal, sign in with the email you paid with, and copy the key there. See Manage or cancel your subscription.

The app says the license key is not valid.

Copy the whole key, starting with ARH, without spaces before or after it. A key from a cancelled or refunded purchase is revoked and stops working. If the key is current and still fails, write to support@apprankhero.com with the email you paid with.

Can I use one key on two Macs?

Your plan belongs to your AppRankHero account, so sign in with the same account on both Macs. Each person on a team needs their own plan.
