Plans and limits
What Free, Pro and Studio include, how apps and keywords are counted, and what happens at a limit.
AppRankHero has three plans. Free is free for good, Pro and Studio add capacity, the morning server refresh and the MCP server for AI tools.

Prices are in US dollars. Taxes are added at checkout where they apply. Current prices are always on the pricing page.
How apps and keywords are counted
- Apps: every app in the sidebar counts, including apps under Competitors and Research projects.
- Keywords: a keyword counts once per country. "habit tracker" tracked in 4 countries counts as 4.
- Per team: limits apply to the team you work in, across all its apps.
Plans in a team
Pro and Studio are billed per person. A team gets the limits of the lowest plan among its members. Every member on Studio gives Studio limits, every member on Pro or Studio gives Pro limits, and one member on Free gives Free limits. See Teams and roles.
At a limit
When adding an app or keywords would pass the limit, AppRankHero opens the upgrade dialog instead. Nothing is lost, the app or keywords are simply not added.
When a paid plan ends
If you cancel, you keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for. After that your account moves to Free:
- Nothing is deleted. All apps, keywords and history stay.
- Above the Free limits you cannot add new apps or keywords.
- The morning server refresh and the MCP server stop. Ranks keep refreshing while the Mac app is open.
Buy a plan again and paste the new license key to unlock everything again. The key appears right after checkout and we email it to you.
Questions and answers
Is there a free trial of Pro?
The Free plan is the trial: the same app, both stores, 1 app and 500 keywords, as long as you like. Startups can get 50% off the first year, see Startup discount.
The app says Pro, but I bought Studio. Is that right?
Update to AppRankHero 1.0.3 or later (App Rank Hero menu, Check for Updates). Version 1.0.2 showed a PRO badge for every paid plan; from 1.0.3 the Account page shows STUDIO. The Studio limits of 50 apps and 100,000 keywords applied either way.
