Troubleshooting sign in

Fix a missing verification email, a forgotten password, a wrong password or an account that will not open.

Most sign in problems come down to the verification email, the password, or the email address itself. Work through the steps below in order.

The verification email does not arrive

  1. Wait a few minutes. The email usually arrives within a minute, sometimes later.
  2. Look in your spam, junk, promotions and updates folders.
  3. On the Check Your Email screen, click Resend Verification Email.
  4. Check the address shown on that screen. If it has a typo, click Back to Sign In and register again with the right address.
  5. Company mail servers sometimes hold mail from new senders. Ask your IT team, or register with another address.

You forgot your password

  1. On the sign in screen, click Forgot Password?.
  2. Enter the email address of your account and click Send Reset Link.
  3. Open the newest reset email and set a new password.

The password is not accepted

  • Passwords are case sensitive. Check that Caps Lock is off.
  • Type the password instead of pasting it, so no space sneaks in.
  • Make sure you use the email address you registered with. Each address is a separate account.
  • Still no luck, reset the password as described above.

The app does not get past sign in

  1. Check that your Mac is online and that a VPN, firewall or content filter does not block apprankhero.com.
  2. Quit AppRankHero completely (⌘ Q) and open it again.
  3. Make sure you have the latest version: App Rank Hero › Check for Updates….
  4. Look at the status page to see whether the API is up.

Questions and answers

Can I change the email address of my account?

Not in the app yet. Write to support@apprankhero.com from your current address and tell us the new one.

I deleted my account by mistake. Can you restore it?

No. Deleting an account removes its data for good. You can register again with the same email address and start fresh.
