Install the app

Download AppRankHero for macOS, move it to Applications and open it for the first time.

AppRankHero is a native Mac app. You install it once from our website, and after that it keeps itself up to date.

What you need

  • A Mac running macOS 13 Ventura or later.
  • The current version is 1.0.4 (10). The download always gives you the newest one.
  • An internet connection. Ranks come from live App Store and Google Play searches.
  • An email address for your account. You create it inside the app, no card required.

Install AppRankHero

  1. Open apprankhero.com/download in Safari or any browser. The file AppRankHero.dmg downloads.
  2. Open the downloaded file from your Downloads folder. A window with the AppRankHero icon appears.
  3. Drag AppRankHero into your Applications folder.
  4. Open Applications and double click AppRankHero.
  5. If macOS asks whether you want to open an app downloaded from the internet, click Open. The app is signed and notarized by Apple, so this question appears only the first time.

After the first launch

The sign in screen opens. Create an account or sign in, then add your first app. See Create an account and sign in and Add your first app.

You never need to download the app again. New versions install through automatic updates.

Uninstall

Quit AppRankHero, then drag it from Applications to the Trash. Your apps, keywords and rank history are stored in your account, not on the Mac, so they are still there when you install the app again and sign in.

Questions and answers

Is there a Windows, iPhone or web version?

No. AppRankHero is a Mac app. You can still read your data from anywhere through an AI tool connected to the MCP server, and through email and Slack reports.

Is the download free?

Yes. The app and the Free plan cost nothing: 1 app and 500 keywords on the App Store and Google Play. See Plans and limits.
